How to contribute
OpenDQM is written by people who integrate with EHRs for a living. If you have learned something the hard way, it belongs here. You do not need to write code to contribute.
Send a recipe or a correction
Section titled “Send a recipe or a correction”Email [email protected] with:
- the EHR and the measure(s) it applies to;
- what you were trying to get, and the steps that work;
- the gotchas — the more specific, the better;
- how you checked the data was complete;
- when you last confirmed it works;
- how you would like to be credited (name and, optionally, organisation).
The recipe template shows the sections a recipe has; following it makes your submission quicker to publish. Corrections to an existing page are just as welcome — tell us the page, what is wrong, and what you see instead.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- A maintainer for that EHR reviews the content and checks it against the content rules.
- The maintainer turns it into a page, credits you, and sends you the link.
- Every change passes automated checks before it goes live: the site builds, links resolve, recipe metadata is complete, and nothing looks like PHI or a credential.
Before you submit
Section titled “Before you submit”Read the content rules. The short version: no patient data, no credentials, no customer names, and no copying vendor documentation.
By contributing, you confirm you have the right to share your contribution, and you grant the OpenDQM project owner a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to use, publish, modify and relicense it — including under an open licence chosen later. You keep the copyright in your contribution, and you are credited on the page.
